50s, 60s, 70s and Beyond Oldies Rock and Roll Band
The Retro-Rockets are a versatile oldies cover band based in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. The band performs a unique blend of 50s and 60s rock and roll songs, ballads, instrumentals and R&B favorites throughout Maryland and nearby areas. The band also covers classic country and blues songs from the 50s and 60s.
This six-member Rock and Roll band features the following group of multi-talented musicians:
Dave Armbruster - bass: Dave was a member of the Sentries, one of Baltimore’s top-drawing dance bands backeing up such musicians as Del Shannon, Freddy Cannon, Chubby Checker, and Otis Reading.
Glenn Bullion - lead vocals & guitar: Glenn has been playing in the Baltimore area for more than 45 years in local bands, such as Neon Graffiti, Four's Company, The Sentries, and Glenn & The Gemtones.
Iris Hirsch - lead vocals: Iris is a singer/songwriter who has been singing for over 40 years as both a solo performer and in groups including Partners in Song and The Baby Boomers.
Dave Kroop, guitar/keyboards: Dave has been in local bands in the Baltimore and Chicago areas. He also booked bands in Chicago to open for the B52's, Steppenwolf, Commander Cody, and Iron Butterfly.
Larry McCoy - saxophone: Larry has played for jazz and gospel groups in the Baltimore area including Unit One, Gerrell the Band, and Oliver Moore and the Gospel Sounds.
Steve "Hitman" Parezo - Drums: Steve brings over four decades of experience as a session player and live performer. He also teaches drums to students in the greater Columbia area.
