Then you’ll love the Retro-Rockets a seven member Rock and Roll band specializing in music of the 50’s and 60’s. While this great oldies cover band is based in Ellicott City, MD, it performs its unique blend of driving rock and rock songs, classic ballads, R&B music, classic instrumentals, and even a few country and blues songs throughout the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. Whenever the Retro-Rockets play, there is music to dance to, music to sing along with; music for all ages!
The Retro-Rockets, influenced by such musicians as Chuck Berry, Little Eva, the Beatles, Del Shannon, and the Drifters, features Bob Armbruster on trumpet, Dave Armbruster on bass, Chet Higdon on drums and percussion, Iris Hirsch on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Dave Kroop on lead guitar and keyboards, Larry McCoy on saxophone, and Tony Montone on lead vocals and organ. Each is an experienced professional musician who brings his/her own special talent to each performance.
The Retro-Rockets has performed at numerous events and venues. The band is available for dances, fairs, festivals, fundraisers, concert series, corporate events, church programs, class reunions, and private events such as weddings or parties. In fact, the Retro-Rockets is the perfect band for any event where people want to dance, sing, and just have FUN!
